- Get a Seagate St5850A or the newer (larger) ST51080A (850 & 1080 megs) drive.
- (ok, so you already have a 1 inch drive..) These drives are .75 inches each,
- and will fit under your keyboard w/o cutting the shield! Priced at APPX $225 &
- $250 US respective. You will need an IDE 44 pin to 40 pin conversion cable and
- some way to power the rive (the 2.5 drives get the power from the 44 pin
- cable, thats why it had 4 more wires). I took a power cable from an old IBM XT
- style P/S and soldered it into the power connector at the BACK of the A1200 (I
- installed the 850 meg HD). Works great!
